Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent or higher) in biomedical informatics, health informatics, data science, or another related area. Three (3) or more years experience working to support the clinical and translational research pipeline. Broad experience or exposure to academic medical setting including familiarity with rules and regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH, and regulatory bodies such as the institutional review board (IRB). Experience working in an academic medical center. Experience working with data reporting & visualization platforms (e.g., Jasper, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI). Experience with mature research data capture systems (i.e. StudyTrax, medidata Rave, OpenClinica, and REDCap). Experience with clinical trial management systems (i.e. Velos eResearch and OnCore). Familiarity with data quality concepts (i.e. data stewardship or data governance requirements).
Brief Description of Duties:
This position is responsible for providing informatics-related development and support services to research teams as part of Stony Brook University's Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC). Using a global, HIPAA-compliant electronic data capture (EDC) application, REDCap, and Forte's clinical trials management system (CTMS), OnCore, and working with multidisciplinary teams, the incumbent will design, develop, and manage electronic clinical research forms (eCRFs) and data capture projects for clinical trial research studies, toward driving the CTSC's core mission of accelerating clinical research discoveries and their translation to innovative patient care
