The Biology Department on the Lima campus seeks an Instructor and Lab Manager with a strong commitment to the teaching mission of The Ohio State University. The successful candidate will have a background in teaching laboratory components of introductory biology courses. Additional experience teaching introductory biology lecture, microbiology, cell biology, or human anatomy is preferred, but not required. Management of the teaching laboratory, maintenance of the chemical and equipment inventory, and supervision of 1-2 laboratory assistants or tutors will be required. Collaboration with related lecture course instructors and the coordinator for biology is expected. The Ohio State University at Lima is one of five campuses of The Ohio State University. Current enrollment on the Lima campus is 1,000 students and there are approximately 65 full- and part-time faculty in all academic departments. Average class size at the Lima campus is 21 students, and includes a mix of traditional and nontraditional students. Ohio State Lima offers the first two years of the Ohio State general education curriculum and ten programs leading to baccalaureate degrees, including one in Biology.

Master's Degree in biology or an equivalent required
