The Associate Director for Technology Integration Program Manager is responsible for managing the training and exercise components of the NCMR portfolio in support of WSU/ARC grants and contracts.
8 years of post-college or military experience serving in a leadership capacity as a manager, supervisor, team leader, program manager or in some other leadership focused capacity
5-7 years of field experience in combat and/or first responder domains including training
PMP certification or equivalent
Current or previous commissioned or non-commissioned officer rank in either a military or civilian setting
Experience managing large scale events support military capability develoment
Knowledge on SBIR.gov data base system
Essential Functions and percent of time::
60% -Develop and execute technology integration in training and exercise scenarios that meet diverse customer requirements and that promote both research, testing, and training goals. -Organize end-to-end planning and implementation of technology into the Tech Warrior Enterprise and other training and exercise events and scenarios at NCMR. This activity includes establishing integration of technology into training and exercise objectives, mapping activities to these objectives, and managing and participating in the logistical needs for events and activities. -Receive and analyze research and testing plans and match scenarios and other operational simulations to those plans. Recruit and manage Small Businesses technologies. - Engage collaboratively with other members of NCMR team and with external organizations.
20% -Assist with management NCMR's training and exercise equipment cache. This function involves the identification of equipment and supply requirements for training, exercise, and testing activities. -Identifying and reporting shortfalls. -Work with contracted logistics staff to organize and prepare equipment and supplies for deployment. -Oversee and participate in training, exercise, and testing set-up and tear-down. Ensures equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
15% -Research and develop new and/or updated scenarios for the integration of technology. -Maintain a catalog of scenarios, potential objectives, logistics requirements, and necessary instructional materials.
5% -Assist NCMR and WSRI leadership with site security planning. -Identify site security shortfalls and develop cost-effective plans to overcome them. -Coordinate with WSU and local police agencies as necessary. Note: this function requires no law-enforcement responsibilities.
This is a grant funded position with continuation dependent on funding. Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.
