Under direction of the Director of Enterprise Information Systems, this position is responsible for driving innovation and improving delivery effectiveness in an environment of growing demand for data integration across a diverse mix of technologies, protocols, standards and platforms. The successful candidate must be committed to fostering a welcoming environment for a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
Leads in conjunction with Information Technology the design and development of innovative integration infrastructure and middleware solutions across the Enterprise technology portfolio
Design and create integration architectures, roadmaps, and system transition plans to align business, applications, data, integration and/or infrastructure architecture
Lead and participate in the actual development of integrations or changes from above design; Manage the development and ongoing support of the solution throughout the life-cycle, including testing, deployment and maintenance
Remain up-to-date on emerging technology solutions in the data integration platforms and associated technologies; Conduct on-going review of integration architecture and deployment in order to meet the changing needs of the enterprise portfolio and expectations
Contribute and ensure all project documentation, including internal documentation related to development/support, is maintained in a standard format that is easily accessible
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field AND minimum of 5 years of direct involvement with the design, development and execution of data integration architectures and solutions in a hybrid cloud and on premise environment
Ability to lead innovative and effective integration architecture design and development
Ability to lead the establishment of standards and guidelines for 3rd party and custom integration development and documentation
Understanding technologies used to analyze data, such as SQL queries, Tableau, SAS, MS Power BI
Demonstrated knowledge of governance practices, business and technology issues related to data quality, storage, protection and dissemination.
Experience designing applications using the available application tool kits, platforms, APIs, etc.
Working knowledge of JSON schema structures
Experience with at least one object oriented programming language, such as Java, C#, C++
Knowledge in a broad range of integration concerns, including but not limited to: Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Integration / iPaaS, ESB and SOA service based Integration, messaging systems, legacy Integration
Experience with database concepts, Information Management, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Integration technologies
Ability to research independently and become rapidly familiar with changing/new technologies and trends, assess innovation for institutional benefits and impact
Strong initiative to keep up-to-date with new technologies.
Good communication & influencing skills with ability to lead teams and deliver creative, but realistic, solutions
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead diverse group to consensus
Highly accurate with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent problem solving capabilities
