Metropolitan State University, as the fiscal and business agent for the Minnesota Alliance for Nursing Education (MANE), is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Director of the MANE consortium. This is a full-time, position accountable to the MANE governance committee composed of the presidents of the MANE Consortium schools. Through curricular collaboration the consortium delivers an integrated BSN program to students beginning their studies at any consortium member school.
This position will provide leadership for all constituent institutions in collaboratively achieving the goals of the MANE consortium through the alignment and integration of the delivery of curriculum that advances the consortium's mission, vision and values.
This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and managing all aspects of the Center's operations and staff, optimizing the collaborative relationships essential to maintenance of the consortium and its work, engaging nursing educators across member schools in continuous improvement initiatives, and serving as the spokesperson for MANE at local, regional and national forums.
Responsibilities include monitoring of compliance with state legislation for nursing practice, and ensuring all partner schools integrate the appropriate national accreditation standards into decision making on program policies, procedures, curriculum and staffing. This position will interface with administration and staff at all levels at each institution, providing program training, developing financial reporting systems, and evaluating the impacts of process changes on stakeholders and recommending and implementing consortium policies.

Provide strategic leadership to create, implement and deliver the mission, vision and organization structure of the Center as determined by the MANE Consortium Board, comprised of consortium member presidents.
At the direction of the Board, initiate and build partnerships with other institutions of higher education, business and industry in order to meet consortium goals and outcomes.
Work with consortium members to develop common business practices and procedures ensuring approval processes at partner schools are timely and adhere to guidelines.
Collaborate with the Board and the nursing education leaders of each college or university member to develop a continuous improvement plan to ensure student success..
Lead the MANE Curriculum Committee in assessment of the curriculum and student learning, revision as necessary, and implementation of recommended changes.
Develop and implement training and development opportunities for MANE faculty at participating consortium partners.
Lead development of new models of education that provide innovative solutions to challenges in MANE nursing education accessibility and affordability, especially addressing the needs of diverse students.
Develop and oversee implementation of a communication plan for prospective students, current students, partner institutions, employers and Minnesota State administrators.
Working directly with the fiscal agent, manage the overall budget, including budget development, allocation process, monitoring of expenses, compliance with spending guidelines and annual reporting.
Exercise supervisory authority for consortium staff, which currently includes an academic advisor and an office assistant.
An earned master's degree in Nursing
Proven record of nursing curricula development.
Demonstrated record of accomplishment in working within a diverse environment and promoting equity and inclusion in the workplace or for students or in the community.
Demonstrated superior professional skills in oral and written communication.
Demonstrated collaboration skills evidenced by working across organizational boundaries, with peers and direct reports to complete projects.
Proven record of baccalaureate nursing curricula and program development
Significant experience in leadership
Innovative, creative thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity
Experience in both long-range and short-range planning
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve differences of opinion within groups
Experience with organizing projects and negotiating for human, financial and technology resources
Familiarity with associate degree nursing curricula
Experience with nursing accreditation, ACEN and CCNE
Experience in creating partnerships and in building relationships with the regional healthcare and business communities
Critical thinking skills and strong analytical abilities
Strong computer skill
The Consortium: This Center is a curricular consortium currently consisting of seven college partners, (Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Century College, Inver Hills Community College, Normandale Community College, North Hennepin Community College, Ridgewater College and Riverland College) and one university (Metropolitan State University). Minnesota State University – Moorhead is currently in candidacy status and is expected to join the consortium in 2020. Other two year and four year program partners may be added in accordance with the MANE consortium agreement. Through curricular collaboration the consortium delivers an integrated BSN program to students beginning their studies at any consortium member school.
All consortium members are part of the Minnesota State System, the fourth largest system of state colleges and universities in the United States, with 30 colleges, seven (7) universities and 54 campuses throughout the state. Last hear the System served more than 375,000 with more Students of Color and American Indian Students attending our colleges and universities than all other higher education providers in Minnesota.
Salary: This Administrator positon is assigned to a Range 7, as outlined in the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Personnel Plan for Administrators (see link below), and is commensurate with education and experience.
