LaGrange Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and flexible science teacher to join our Upper School faculty. This position is ideal for motivated teachers with a particular passion for teaching upper school students. Specifically, we are looking for a physics teacher, with possible interests in chemistry as well. Additional responsibilities may include sponsoring extra-curricular activities, advising, and/or coaching, specifically varsity soccer.
Founded in 1970, LaGrange Academy is a fully accredited, college-preparatory, coeducational, non-sectarian, independent day school, serving students in Pre-K3 through twelfth grade.
This is a full-time position scheduled to begin in August 2019. Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, and/or Education required.
Experience teaching Upper School Science.
Proven ability to contribute to a high-performing team, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
