Benedictine Military School (BC) seeks a committed, experienced and energetic, full-time school counselor for grades 9-12 for the 2019-2020 academic year. We are a Catholic, all-male, day school with strong traditions, deep roots in Savannah, and a robust JROTC program. Candidate will work closely with the Director of Guidance, students, parents, and teachers, to promote the well-being of the student body through a comprehensive guidance program. Primary focus is 9th and 10th grade. Will help ease the transition from middle school to high school and work with college counselor to lay the foundation for college planning. Experience working with College Board, ACT, Georgia Student Finance Commission, and Naviance is ideal. Will identify the changing needs of students and collaborate with Director to develop plans to meet those needs. Will implement programs for individual and small group counseling, academic advising, and academic/emotional support. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience prior to becoming a school counselor.

Master’s Degree in School Counseling or Guidance & Counseling with School Counseling Endorsement with T5 certification in the state of Georgia (Certified Professional School Counselor). Applicants who meet these qualifications but hold certification from other states will be considered.
