The Program Coordinator provides administrative and programmatic support to the M.S. in Social Policy (MSSP) and the MSSP with a Certificate in Data Analytics (MSSP+DA). This position is responsible for overall assistance to the Associate Director in relation to program procedures and program development. Given the amount and nature of Admissions work, The Program Coordinator provides assistance and support to the Associate Director for recruitment and admissions initiatives and operations, including recruitment fairs, representing the program on- and off-campus events, fielding potential applicant contacts, conducting in-person and Skype interviews, assessing applications and providing recommendations for admission into the program in collaboration with the SP2 Office of Admissions. In addition, they coordinate marketing and communications, maintains program’s website updated and online visibility, prepares program’s reports and other documentation, and works on social media with the supervisor’s approval; plans and implements program events – such as annual policy trip to Washington D.C, program receptions, speakers talks, annual new student orientation and graduation; provides faculty, staff, and Governance Committee support; assist with other administrative duties such as part-time, TAs, and Course Assistants hires; provides support to internship program, course development and career development opportunities; interacts with students, faculty, staff and/or other Penn stakeholders across campus in coordinating overall program’s operations and administrative functioning.
