Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Mental Health Clinician III for the Employee and Student Assistance Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
Under supervision, the Mental Health Clinician III assists in carrying out a comprehensive mental health care program and related services for Employee and Student Assistance Program consumers. Assumes overall case management responsibilities for assigned consumers.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides individual, group and family psychotherapy as clinically needed to assigned consumers
Collaborates effectively with other staff members and referral sources and social support networks to provide treatment for consumers and families.
Maintains appropriate records in a timely manner.
Acquires familiarity with other UBHC units, consumer organizations and other pertinent agencies and resources in order to facilitate consumers' needs, develop positive work relationships and provide information and guidance to consumers.
Manages caseload demands effectively while considering both quality of care and agency needs.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in an appropriate mental health discipline.
Licensed to practice as required by New Jersey state laws governing the discipline.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
