ROMANCE STUDIES: Spanish Language Part-time Lecturer (non-tenure-track)
The Department of Romance Studies at Tufts University is soliciting applications for a Part-Time Lecturer in Spanish for Fall 2019 to teach intermediate Spanish language classes.
Tufts provides very competitive per-course compensation rates for its part-time Lecturers. A new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) was signed in the fall of 2017 between the Tufts administration and Tufts’ part-time Lecturers’ union (SEIU Local 509) governing working conditions and compensation increases through 2022. Requirements: a B.A. or equivalent is required; an M.A. or equivalent is preferred. Previous college-level teaching experience is required. Previous experience teaching intermediate language courses is desirable. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish is essential. Familiarity with language teaching technology preferred.
