The Custodian is responsible for the general upkeep and cleanliness of the school’s facilities. This position cleans on a daily basis so that the building remains a safe, healthy and professional environment. In addition, the Custodian is responsible for room setups and teardowns; care and cleaning of carpets and other project work as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 months’ related work experience including: working knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals; knowledge of hand tools; basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands; knowledge of procedures involved in buildings and grounds work; ability to work and communicate with internal and external customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner; ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions; ability to maintain simple records; and flexibility to adapt cleaning schedule with building events.
