Collects and reviews Proof of Purchase and Financial Statements to determine yearly allotment based on government regulated qualifications. Records data for issuance of state aid grant check. Monitors required training and notifies departments that do not qualify.
Serves as National Fire Incident Report System (NFIRS) program manager which includes training users and assigning passwords. Manages and extracts data from NFIRS database and distributes as needed. Determines data parameters requested by state, county, fire departments, fire marshal and others as required.
Assists with incoming mail, bulk mail distribution and assist with answering phones when needed.
Works with fire departments regarding regulations by educating firefighters and fire department staff on procedures and requirements. Coordinates policies and procedures to avoid duplicate data entry at state, county, and department levels.
Maintains history files for each volunteer fire department regarding state aid to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and notify departments of discrepancies. Determines data parameter requested by state, county, fire departments, fire marshal and others as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
