The Rady School of Management provides business education through its Masters degree programs, PhD program, undergraduate minors and courses, and executive business seminars. This position is an integral component of the UCSD Rady School of Management's Marketing & Communication area and works with works as a team with the Art Director, Web Designer, and Marketing & Communications team.
The position conducts outreach to enhance the Rady School's digital presence and reputation among prospective graduate business students, alumni, prospective and current faculty, philanthropists, community leaders and business entrepreneurs. This centralized function interacts with many Rady School areas including Recruitment & Admissions, Graduate Student Programs, Careers, CIID, Executive Education, the Beyster Institute, and has a major impact on the image and profile of the Rady School of Management.
The position develops, implements and manages digital marketing campaigns that promote the Rady School. Plays a key role in enhancing brand awareness within digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads/prospective students. Manages digital advertising on social channels including Google, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. Works with the Director of Marketing and Communications to evaluate effectiveness and establish budgets. Develops content and coordinates with Art Director to create branded imagery for all paid digital advertising. Optimizes ads for maximum ROI based on daily spend, key words, images,etc. Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and customized lead forms. Manages content for auxiliary marketing channels and ensures content is up-to-date. Channels include MetroMBA, MBAStudies.com, Military MBA, Poets & Quants, and others as identified. Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assesses against goals (ROI, CTR, CPL). Develops and provides monthly analytics reports on ad performance. Identifies and evaluates new digital technologies and makes recommendations for testing and/or implementation. Develops a timeline to advertise recruitment events via social media channels. Analyzes social media advertising efficacy as it relates to click through rates and completed inquiry forms.
Under the direction of the Rady School of Management Director of Marketing and Communications, the position develops storyboard and generates ideas for themes and articles for the quarterly Rady newsletter distributed to Dean's Advisory Council, Deans of Business Schools, all donors, business & community VIPs, faculty, etc. Generates content and manages the production of the monthly Innovator Update for distribution to the AACSB list, students, staff and faculty.Works with Graphic Artist on newsletter graphics and photos. Works with Web Designer to produce final layout for two online versions, text-only online version and HTML online version and paper version. Conceptualizes, develops, and manages special projects such as video that enhance and promote the Rady School of Management brand. Creates the content calendar and manages the content development for the Rady School of Management blog. Conducts interviews and creates original content when needed.

Bachelor's Degree with major in journalism, communications, or in a subject area related to the public information and at least three (3) years of professional writing experience for social media, websites, advertisements, newspapers, magazines, radio/T.V.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong professional working experience in digital marketing with experience writing and editing effective press releases, advertising copy, radio/television copy, website content. Solid experience using AP writing style guide.
