Working Title: Library Services Assistant-Advanced
This position is a 100% appointment in the Access Services Department under the general supervision of the Head of Access Services. The employee's primary responsibilities include overseeing services at the library service desk; overseeing student employees; and additional duties as assigned.

Ability to apply problem-solving skills when dealing with issue resolutions.
Ability to schedule, train, lead, and supervise the work of employees.
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and make decisions with limited supervision.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information obtained through the course of completing work assignments.
Ability to complete detail-oriented work accurately and in a timely fashion.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Knowledge of library public service functions, including circulation processes.
