Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a Reappointment Coordinator for the Medical Affairs Department. Your responsibilities will include processing reappointments for medical staff membership and allied health privileges; identifying extraordinary information, discrepancies, time gaps, and obtains additional explanation and information as required. In addition, the position advises Chairmen and/or Section Chiefs of available options when evaluating reappointment and provisional applications; supports department and committee meetings; and supports overall operations of Medical Affairs Office.
This position provides the opportunity to learn about the regulatory requirements for hospitals and support the daily effort to support patient care and patient safety by managing a process to fully vet clinical providers. The role also is an integral part of medical staff operations and governance, by working with Department Chairs and members of the medical staff on key activities. It allows engagement and collaboration with physician leadership, administrative leadership, and partnership with a close Medical Affairs team who are stronger together.
