The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) has an opening for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Executive Office. This position serves as the administrative assistant for the executive office team—CEO and Deputy CEO—in support of leadership, governance, board relations, and management of the association. The assistant prepares written communications such as correspondence, documents for governance, leadership development, meeting agendas, background materials, and meeting notes and minutes, and posts documents on the association’s portal. The administrative assistant keeps the filing system organized, provides support with certain scheduling tasks, arranges conference calls, meetings, and Board travel, balances multiple tasks, meets deadlines, and works with minimal supervision.
NACAC is an education association of more than 15,000 postsecondary and secondary schools, organizations, counselors, and college admission and financial aid officers that work with students as they make the transition from high school to postsecondary education. Assumes regular administrative duties for the CEO and Deputy CEO such as preparing correspondence and other documents, screening telephone calls, organizing meetings, preparing governance documents, photocopying, preparing mailings and meeting materials, researching information on the Internet, and filing.
Provides primary support for the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee by preparing agendas and background materials, scheduling, managing meetings logistics, and reviewing travel and reimbursement requests as requested by the CEO.
Posts all documents on the leadership web portal and is responsible for maintaining regular updates in communications with the Board and assigned committees.
Attends and supports the work of the leadership’s meetings: records and distributes background reports and/or minutes for the Board and Board committee meetings.
Communicates with members, leaders, the public, and professional groups, clearly, accurately, professionally, with a high level of customer service orientation.
Prepares communications in print-, electronic- and web-based formats related to any given service or program provided by the association as directed by the CEO and Deputy CEO.
When required, travels to meeting sites in support of the Board of Directors and the CEO for meetings that may occur throughout the week and over weekends.
Assumes responsibility for special projects or committees as assigned by the CEO.
Maintains a yearly master file for all NACAC governance records, minutes, reports and manual.
Performs other duties as required by the CEO and Deputy CEO.
Minimum of three years of administrative work experience in a professional office setting preferred.

Ability to work both independently and in coordination with others.
Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
