Reconciliation and transfer of agency funds
Establishment of the per credit hour charge breakdown matrix
Responsible for the administration of monthly and debt payment plans. This includes coordinating all communication regarding the payment plans, software setup, and updating required forms.
Liaison between the Offices of Residential Life, ACES, Civic Engagement and Study Abroad to reconcile charges and make updates to student accounts as needed.
Responsible for the coordination and issuance of inbound and outbound medical insurance for international students, students studying abroad, and faculty/staff traveling abroad.
Maintenance of the Student Accounts web presence
Responsible for the administration of Billable Curriculum Cost (BCC) accounts
Works closely with the Business Office and the Office of Institutional Advancement to verify accuracy of Institutional Scholarship awards and payments disbursed
Provide backup support for office processes including 1098-T, New York State residency determination, and vouchering
Additional responsibilities include:
Provide outstanding customer service to students and families on both the phone and in-person.
Provide financial aid information to students regarding the application process, needs determination, verification, and status of their financial aid application in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Assist students with various questions regarding their accounts including but not limited to payments, holds, and refunds.
Assist students and parents with bill processing and payments.
Perform student services functions including assist students with registration questions/processes; add/drop procedures, graduation information and basic records related questions.
Bachelor's degree and two years of responsible work experience.
Higher Education office experience
Experience with Banner or other comprehensive student financial or billing information system
Experience in billing and accounts receivable
Demonstrated technical aptitude and analytical skills
Strong commitment and excellence in customer service
Excellence in time management and the ability to meet deadlines
Excellent professional written and oral communication skills
Tolerance of ambiguity, flexibility and a sense of humor are essential
The ability to work as a team member as well as the confidence to work independently is expected
