Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Associate.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for supporting the administrative activities of the Research Enterprise in the Orthopedics Department under the direction of the Grants Manager.
Assists Grants Team with the submission of grants (pre-award), award setup, monitoring of grants (post-award), and preparation of Grants Reports.
Performs other related duties as determined by the Grants Manager.
Manages calendar for the research conference room, prioritizing appointments and proactively resolving conflicts.
Works with Purchasing to order supplies for faculty and research staff, close out POs and address accrual issues; submits orders reports to Grants Manager on a weekly and monthly basis.
Organizes and schedules meetings including contacting individuals, booking rooms, catering arrangements, and preparing meeting materials.
Distributes incoming mail and correspondence. Manages outgoing mail, courier and other correspondence.
Prepares purchase requisitions, check requests, invoice requests, travel and expense claims as needed. Reconciles PCard for faculty. Reviews PCard statement.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years relevant experience. Experience and competency with various computer software (Microsoft Office Suite). Excellent communication skills (writing and verbal). Ability to handle matters of highly confidential and sensitive nature. Skilled in working independently and in following through with minimal directions. Minimum three (3) years experience in an organizational setting. Self-starter with high standards in completing projects that are deadline-driven. Exceptional communication skills (verbal and writing). Detail-Oriented.
