Summary of Essential Job Duties:
The Associate Director, Government and Industry Relations is responsible for researching, analyzing and evaluating local legislative and regulatory issues in order to advise and recommend to the Vice President of the department appropriate strategic solutions for advocacy and public policy that may impact the organization.
Monitors government matters and policies of interest for the medical center.
The incumbent builds relations with local trade associations, civic organizations and local entities/leaders to present the hospital's positions on key local legislation and regulatory matters.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Monitors, reviews, researches, analyzes and evaluates local legislative and regulatory issues, government policies in order to advise and recommend to the Vice President of the department appropriate strategic solutions for advocacy and public policy that may impact the organization.
Acts as the liaison in maintaining key relationships between the Medical Center, local government sectors, chambers of commerce, and trade organizations.
Develop relationships with key local legislators (staff/committee members) and local elected officials to promote Cedars-Sinai initiatives and programs.
Manages dignitary events supporting Cedar-Sinai local government and industry efforts.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders in the implementation of projects.
Facilitate meetings with key local legislators and the medical center to promote Cedars-Sinai program.
