Reporting to the Dean of Admissions, the Admissions Specialist plays an important role in assisting the Admissions Office with the execution of recruitment and enrollment strategies for Mitchell Hamline School of Law. This position oversees the communication flow between the school and prospective students and between Admissions and other school offices, assists the Dean to analyze and report admissions statistics to constituents inside and outside of the school, and provides continuous maintenance and improvement of Admissions technological systems. Additionally, this position manages the application and admission process for unique student groups.
Qualifications: bachelor’s degree; 1-3 years experience preferably in an admissions department or higher education environment; (may consider combination of education and experience); proficiency in MS Office applications and other office technologies, including work in databases and Excel with large amounts of data; high degree of professionalism and ability to work with confidential and sensitive information; highly organized and attentive to detail; superior and effective communication skills including strong writing ability; ability to develop collaborative working relationships with all individuals; responsive, with a customer service orientation, and a strong commitment to providing excellent student service; and ability to work independently and as a member of the admissions team.
