The Administrative Assistant in Physical Education, Athletics, Recreation (PEAR) assists the chair/athletic director, assistant athletic director, facilities director and equipment manager and PEAR faculty. This individual serves as office manager, compliance assistant, archivist, awards custodian, student work supervisor as well as assistant to the chair/ athletic director, 15 head coaches and 30 assistant coaches.
The Administrative Assistant supports the chair/athletic director, head coaches, and assistant coaches concerning policy and procedures of budgets, PE course offerings, student athlete eligibility/compliance issues, travel arrangements, check requests, facility reservations, program planning, computer software/hardware issues, an recruiting.
This is a part-time, 40 hours per week during the academic term, 30 hours per week during summer, regular 12-month (0.94 FTE) benefit eligible position.

The successful candidate possess between three to five years of directly related experience and be highly organized and flexible in prioritizing multiple requests and projects. Must be familiar with rules and regulations governing the MIAC and the NCAA. Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree.
