Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Manager of Business Development (BD) in the Global Logistics and Modernization (GLM) Division. This position can be located in either Melbourne, FL or Herndon, VA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and managing business development activities, supporting the growth of a nearly $1B Business Unit through the development of a pipeline of quality opportunities, building strong customer intimacy, and supporting strategy development & business capture efforts.

Grow core capabilities and new business opportunities within the GLM capability portfolio including, but not limited to, electronics and platform sustainment and modernization, tailored mission solutions, and operations and logistics support.
Focus on classified customer programs across the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
Establish and nurture mission and customer intimacy with warfighters as well as the acquisition and sustainment communities supporting them.
Create and lead customer engagements, mission analyses, and new business initiatives to include analyzing customer needs, developing and executing customer shaping activities, evaluating targeted IR&D efforts to address integrated sustainment, modernization and deployment capabilities, and creating strategies for services within the defense market.
Drive and support customer black hats, competitor black hats, and gate reviews on pending opportunities.
Identify and assess government requirements, resources and acquisition plans/issues across multiple customers and will analyze/communicate the information to GLM personnel.
Represent the Business Unit with key Division, Sector and Corporate pursuits, and will be a key leadership role for the integration of the Business Unit vision, strategy, requirements shaping, business portfolio growth, investment planning, acquisition, and marketing.
Be the key Leader/representative with all applicable customers, both domestically and internationally, and must support significant collaboration across NGTS divisions and with NGC Sectors in support of business growth.
Support the ongoing long range strategic planning process as well as the development of a robust opportunity pipeline.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline with a minimum of 10 years in logistics and modernization services or a Master’s degree and a minimum 6 years relevant experience
Experience in US and allied military aviation operations, maintenance, logistics and sustainment
Experience in business marketing / coordination and submission of responses to customer inquiries, presentation of program and capability material, and interaction with customers at all levels within the organization
High Energy, open communicator / collaborator to all levels of the organization; dedicated to the team and business area and able to communicate effectively with senior level / Executive Management
Knowledge of U.S. military Services, in particular their logistics and sustainment leadership structure and personnel (military and civilian)
Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities in a high pressure, short turn-around situations
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain renewed clearance up to Top Secret
Significant operational, acquisition, and/or program management experience
Minimum of 5 years Business Development experience
In depth experience and knowledge of US Air Force ,Naval/Marine Corps Aviation and US Army Aviation programs & leadership,
In depth experience and knowledge of each Services’ Depot Level Maintenance, Supply Chain Management and product support capabilities and organizational structure
Previous experience working on Special Access Programs
Successful experience with public private partnering and building industry teaming relationships is a plus
Working knowledge of MRO&U environments as well asoperational and CONOP knowledge and experience
Strong existing government and customer relationships
Demonstrable experience across all phases of the Business Acquisition Process
Active Top Secret clearance with PR within the last 3-5 years and TS/SCI and/or SAP accesses
