The Role Responsibilities Ensuring that the quality of BCAs meets Group standards, particularly with regards to the completeness and depth of risk analysis. · Approving of BCAs falling within own discretion and support of applications which require approval beyond own discretion. · Approving breaches of Corporate Portfolio Standards and breaches of Group Credit Policy (where permissible). · Formulating and obtaining approval of Corporate Portfolio Standards and Country Risk Appetite Mandate which is aligned to the local business strategy. · To assist SCO in ensuring a Policy Committee meets on a regular basis to review credit related issues in compliance with Group Credit Policy governing such matters and actively participating in that committee. · To ensure timely submission and accuracy of data to the Country Risk Committee and to Group Credit Risk Management in respect of key risk indicators required to monitor compliance with Group Credit Policy. These include, but may not be limited to, the following: · SCI reports · All approved exposures in the territory (as required by FSA Reporting) · Details of approved breaches of Group Credit Policy (including details of mitigating circumstances) · Country Risk exposure · To assist SCO in monitoring compliance with credit policy and business strategy on at least a quarterly basis and reviewing any divergence thereof with Business Heads to ensure credit quality targets are achieved. · Ensure EAR process is adhered to and co-ordinate monthly EAR discussions. · Assisting relationship managers in identification and managing up or out of accounts exhibiting signs of deterioration and assisting Group Special Assets Management, where appropriate, in managing substandard accounts to maximise recoveries and minimise losses. · To assist SCO in ensuring that new users are trained on all credit systems including CreditMate. · To assist SCO in determining credit training needs within the territory and arrange for these needs to be met in collaboration with Business and Human Resource colleagues. · Undertake regular customer visits to keep abreast of local market developments. · To assist SCO in ensuring proper Risk Governance and reporting processes in Singapore. · To assist SCO in coordinating stress testing / scenario planning exercises as required.
Our Ideal Candidate · Degree in Accountancy/Business/Finance · Experience: Min 8-10 years in Credit Approval/Credit Analyst/Relationship Manager background with focus on Corporate/Commercial clients
