Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services & Experience.
The Administrative Coordinator:
Provides day-to-day support to the Enrollment Services & Experience Team, especially the Associate Vice Chancellor and the Registrar.
A critical member of the Enrollment Services & Experience Team providing administrative support to the following areas- Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services & Experience; Office of Admissions; Office of Financial Aid; Office of Registrar; Academic Foundation Center and the One Stop Center.
Leads, coordinates, processes, maintains and regularly communicates personnel and employment information policies.
Strong understanding of RU-N HR policies and processes.
Regulations, reports, and ensures accurate data entry and integrity of electronic databases for HCM and ROCS.
Works with systems including Cornerstone areas that include: hourly payroll; purchase orders, travel reimbursement, grants, etc.
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis and writing. Also requires two years of professional relevant experience preferably in a business office, government agency, or academic setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires good communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets.
Experience with higher education and/or education; experience with supporting a fast-paced environment
This position requires completing the Rutgers Protection of Minors Online Training.
