We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Strategic Business Change Consultant .
The Commercial Banking Strategic Business Change team are an integral part of the Commercial Banking Chief Operating Office and are responsible for delivering Commercial Banking's strategic change initiatives in line with the Global Commercial Banking Strategic Business Outlooks. The team support end to end change of large strategic agile programmes, define, implement and embed innovative and digital solutions and reengineer processes so that Commercial Banking can provide a market leading service to our customers. The team has a high degree of exposure to Senior Management at a Global, Regional and Country level and works collectively with them to identify and resolve business problems and maximize business opportunities Strategic Business Change Consultant acts as Commercial Banking's change agent, supporting the implementation of the Commercial Banking and Group strategy and is committed to making change a source of sustainable competitive advantage for HSBC. The Strategic Business Change Consultant will need to support the shaping, execution and embedding of change across the business, thus delivering a unified change experience to Commercial Banking. They are expected to have knowledge of Group strategy and the challenges or risks the Group faces. This requires the Strategic Business Change Consultant to operate in the following way:
Work relatively independently and have the gravitas and acumen to work with business stakeholders. They should be confident to challenge the business, where appropriate
Be self motivated and driven but able to manage and work in a team whenever required. He or she may not be subject to close supervision
Be easily accessible and available to support global business needs, ensuring they are reactive to Commercial Banking's needs. Typically he or she should have high energy and sense of urgency with the ability to learn quickly and assimilate information
Work closely with and get support from global businesses and global functions to help shape and deliver the change. He or she should be able to connect the dots between businesses, regions, priority markets and countries for the business
Be able to cope and bring structure to ambiguous situations and problems. He or she will be expected to adopt an agile and flexible approach to work. Ideally, the role holder should have the ability to move between modes of thinking, for instance strategic to analytical, board to drilldown
Understanding of Innovation within the industry
Good knowledge of the external environment such as regulatory, political and competitors
An understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives
A good view of the Commercial Banking business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
Knowledge of Commercial bank's business model such as the customer proposition, the channels and operations, and the key financial performance drivers
Strong knowledge of business change functionally, operationally and financially
Good financial and commercial acumen and the ability to understand and contribute to business cases
Includes ability to appreciate complex business problems and apply some commercial sense
Proven experience of successfully supporting the shaping and executing against a global business strategic change agenda
Substantiated experience of working under the Agile project methodology
Scrum master experience and working directly with fintech's would be beneficial although is not essential
Experience of working on digital transformation programmes, working closely with technology colleagues to deliver digital products
Experience of having been involved in the management and control of multiple complex global
Programmes or business transformation which have ambitious goals and high change requirements
Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior stakeholders across the group
Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi cultural diverse work environments
Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor
Knowledge or experience of operating iterative delivery techniques at scale
Successful experience in developing and retaining critical talent and building an effective team
Experience of contributing to the development of Target Business and Operating Models and transformation business case from bottom up and to down
Master's degree in related field or commensurate practical experience
Good working knowledge of functional area in an operational or consulting capacity
Industry recognized technical certifications such as Project Management Professional, Certified Business Analysis Professional, Master Black Belt Six Sigma, The Open Group Architecture Framework
Industry recognized Commercial Banking and Risk domain certification
