Morgan Stanley is seeking a Regional Governance and Central Product Manager Lead for its Enterprise Technology and Risk organization to work with the Global Head of Architecture Governance, Cloud Governance, and Central Product Management to cover the interests of the APAC and EMEA business units. The role will entail working with staff and management in Information Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sourcing, Business Leads and Technology across multiple jurisdictions.
The Regional Lead will work with local Tower Product Managers and Business Technology Officers to communicate requirements and developments in Product Management such as new product introductions, release plans, roadmaps, annual product briefings, and quarterly EOL reposts that feed into Firmwide Hygiene program(s).
The Regional Lead will be responsible for prioritizing the day-to-day activities related to the implementation, communication, and coordination of Governance across all disciplines within ETR in the jurisdictions.
Understand the regional requirements of required regulators.
Communicate the Cloud Governance Group approval process
Gather all Cloud Requests and lead the requestor through the underlying risk processes
Review monthly Cloud inventory to ensure accuracy of entries, especially as aligned to covered Legal Entities
Serve as local Point of Contact for any regulatory requests while working with the Cloud Governance Group
Identify candidate architecture reviews by reviewing in-region Strategies and Architectures for both Security and Infrastructure, as per the IT Architecture Procedure found in the Policy Portal
Communicate agendas for upcoming Infrastructure Strategy Forum (ISF) and Security Architecture Governance groups (SAG) meetings to alert potentially impacted technology groups and/or Business Users Central Product Management
Evaluate, Identify, and communicate any specific regional needs not covered in standard offerings – whether they be regulatory, policy, technical, operational, or financial.
Liaise with Central Product Management leads regularly to identify any potential needs or opportunities for training, documentation, knowledge shares, or formal Customer Advisory Board participation with regional stakeholders
Liaise with regional Tower Product Managers on overall Product Management strategy and upcoming deliverables
Understanding of regulations so as to be able to partner with both Legal and Compliance
Understanding of information risk, especially as related to the consumption of Cloud-based services.
Ability to advise stakeholders in adopting cloud technologies
Creative, out-of-the-box approach to identify potential solutions to develop new processes for maturing Governance functions
Understanding of the full technology suite across Infrastructure & Security
Must be able to liaise with existing Governance and Product Management team members in NY, UK, Budapest and Montreal
Must be able to manage activities across multiple regions
Occasional travel as needed
Coverage of early morning / late night meetings due to geographical spread as needed
