Under administrative direction, oversees and leads the ongoing effort, direction, delivery, assessment, and improvement of services to meet all U.S. Homeland Security and State Department International Visa processing and promotes the globalization efforts of Saint Louis University and the Enrollment and Retention Management division. The Director of the Office of International Services is responsible for leading and overseeing the following critical international support services: International Immigration and Visa Compliance; Host Family Program; Student Support & Acculturation; International Student and Study Abroad Orientation.
Provides program policies, procedures, goals, and objectives; works with University community in developing best practices to address the transition and retention of students and the integration of the cultural differences for both international student and study abroad students; identifies and leads efforts to minimize or eliminate challenges for student populations; develops assessment measures.
Leads the University effort to meet all U.S. Homeland Security and State Department International Immigration and Visa Processing; collaborates with other University offices, government regulators, and support agencies to ensure a coordinated approach.
Evaluates and oversees student acculturation efforts, using various methods; oversees Host Family program; trains and monitors staff to evaluate and assist students; facilitates cross-training within department and other University offices.
Oversees study abroad contracts, international exchange contracts, and budgets; manages day-to-day office operations; supervises staff.

Master’s degree; supplemented with three (3) years of related experience.
