We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Transcriptionist (40).
In this role, the successful candidate Provides a variety of clerical support for the physicians and other staff at the practice site. Responsible for the maintenance of medical records and patient charts and files according to the filing system used. Locates and removes material from file when requested.
Provides a variety of clerical support for the physicians and other staff at the practice site. Sorts and files patient charts. Pulls upon request throughout the day for review and prepares patient charts with appointments for the following day. Coordinates lab work, physician s report filed into patient charts by alphabetical system. Copies medical records upon request concisely.
Responsible for medical recordsfiling area as it relates to the maintenance of patient charts. Creates patient charts for new patients. Maintains patient medical records and files, ensures that patient information is filed accurately on a daily basis in chronological order.
Delivers messages, correspondences and fax requests as required to appropriate individual on a timely basis.
Files correspondences, cards, invoices, receipts, and other records as per filing system.
Communicates effectively with patients, physicians and other staff members. Maintains patient confidentiality
Attends staff meetings as required by Practice Manager.
Monitors clerical supply inventory.
Performs other duties as assigned
To qualify you must have a High School or GED. Excellent communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, multitasking, and customer service skills. Ability to interact with, with practice management and staff personnel, and other personnel at all levels within the organization. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Ability to handle constant interruption.
6 months Medical Private practice. 1-2 years Office experience or related role.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
