This position is responsible for the timely evaluation of transfer credit and creation of course equivalencies in compliance with University of Cincinnati and Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) policy. The person in this position coordinates with colleges and department heads/undergraduate directors, creates and maintains course equivalencies for statewide agreements via ODHE mandated programs and military coursework, assigns courses to college reviewers as appropriate and assists in facilitating credit evaluation related programs. This position serves as member of the Credit Evaluation team, and is a vital resource to the advising community at the University of Cincinnati.
Description of specific duties
Create accurate transfer equivalencies for selected subject areas. Communicate with college staff, faculty and department heads as necessary. Evaluate additional course disciplines as authorized by individual college staff. Assign Breadth of Knowledge (BoK) codes when appropriate.
Facilitate process for assigning courses to the appropriate college for review, using various reports.
Maintain the accuracy of the equivalency database through the use of corrections/updates to transfer equivalencies.
Maintain and post Career Technical Transfer Assurance Guideline (CTAG) equivalencies, and post CTAG credit.
Track monthly data and prepare reports.
Assist with articulation agreement processes.
Assist with Credit When It's Due program as needed.
Assist with presentations for advising.
Assist with Student Information System queries to facilitate credit posting.
Assist with Articulation and Transfer Clearinghouse (ATC) transcript processing as needed.
Assist with Credit Evaluation priorities as needed.
Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years' experience; - OR- five (5) years' experience. Experience must be in admissions, registration, student services or a related field
