Reporting to the Director of Sponsored Research, the Institutional Funding Research Officer conducts targeted research on grant opportunities to support faculty research and institutional grants; coordinates the distribution of funding opportunities; works with the Institutional Funding team to develop proposals and budgets that comply with agency guidelines, federal/state regulations and College policies; manages the department database of grant activity; assists with website updates and maintenance; and assists in the submission of faculty and institutional grant applications, as required.

Required Qualification Summary:
Bachelor's degree and minimum of two years of related experience;
Experience conducting online research (experience with grants research, particularly in the sciences, a plus);
Ability to evaluate data and research findings with minimal supervision;
Proficiency with databases and spreadsheets required, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, the Internet, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
