The Role Responsibilities & Our Ideal Candidate
Strategy & Business § Take accountability for product performance through management of product design and ongoing re-evaluation of products, identification and understanding of clients' needs and competitors' offering to ensure maximised performance. § Drive product innovation and development initiatives that are aligned with Group Wealth Management Strategy to meet/ anticipate the needs of clients segments. § Formulate and drive the implementation of business direction for presentation and promotion of products, that is appropriate to product offering, fuel business growth, and support the Bank's desired customer brand experience. § Identify the most appropriate channels for effective distribution of products within scope of responsibility. § Collaborate with Brand & Marketing team to drive product branding through the most appropriate marketing opportunities including its communication channels, organising of campaigns, promotions and events and ensure effective implementation within budget and analyses their effectiveness. § Plan, execute, monitor and evaluate marketing strategies/ programmes to: ü increase sales momentum, market share and drive profitability of the products; ü acquire new customers, retain existing customers, and deepen customer relationships. § Enable WM sales persons with necessary product knowledge, customer engagement skills through provision of collaterals, tools, training supports and scripts. § Proactive engagement with Investment Counsellors and WM sales persons to identify new product opportunities and ideas § Remain up-to-date with competitors' offering and activities and develop counter-measure to guide WM sales persons to handle clients' objection. § Ensure timely communications and briefing to all relevant parties prior to implementation pertaining to every campaign and product launches. § Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal compliance policies as applicable and report any suspicious activity to Compliance Unit.
Risk Management § Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role. Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group's policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters § Seek to understand the risk and control environment in country and drive rectification as required. § Ensure adequate and appropriate systems and controls are in compliance with Group policies, procedures, standards and codes, including those governing all Risk types, Compliance, Technology and Operations and Finance to ensure: ü that team members are capable of performing successfully in their roles. ü there is clear oversight / supervision / decision making e.g. committees. § Ensure effective implementation of Risk Management framework throughout the organisation § Risk appetite is clear and integral to the strategy with appropriate controls. § Effective processes in place to identify, manage, monitor and report risk. § Drive the systems and procedures to safeguard the security, integrity and confidentiality of information.
Governance § Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with local banking laws, other applicable laws (e.g. laws governing securities activities, company law) and anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines. § Embed the Group's values and code of conduct in the region to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture. § Act as the business interface with Audit in country and ensure full coordination of audit activities and reporting. § Engage with all audit report findings in country and ensure feedback is acted upon.
§ Active participation in performing gap analysis on audit socialisation against country processes/procedures and provide solutions to mitigate/ close gaps within agreed timeline.
