Full-Time; Career Starting Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000/annually. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Baskin School of Engineering (BSOE), the first professional school at UC Santa Cruz, was founded in 1997. Over the past 20 years, BSOE has become a unique 21st century school of engineering and technology. BSOE comprises six departments that deliver a strong educational foundation combined with experiential learning and numerous research centers and institutes that engage in cutting-edge research. The departments comprise Applied Math, Biomolecular Engineering, Computational Media, Computing Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Statistics In 2018-19, BSOE has an annual $27M budget, 103 faculty FTE and 140 administrative, technical and research support staff. BSOE served 4,374 undergraduate majors, 257 masters and 348 PhD students in 2017-18.
Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean, the Manager of Academic Personnel serves as a member of the Deans Leadership Team with the primary area of responsibility in Academic Personnel administration for the school.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Expert knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply system-wide and organization policies and procedures which govern academic HR.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience within a university environment, including familiarity with academic administration, instruction and research programs and academic personnel policies, procedures and practices.
Sensitivity to the diverse perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization, as well as Office of the President and various external institutions and agencies.
In-depth knowledge of trends in academia, especially in areas of, human resource management and administration.
