Position Summary: Incumbent performs the essential functions of the Admissions Department, which can include Pre-Admission, Financial Counseling, Insurance Notification, Verification and Authorization, Management of Unscheduled Admissions in either Acute Care or Mental Health Admissions.
Rate Minimum $21.28 Midpoint $23.87 Maximum $26.46Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to utilize payer and government websites to access and interpret health plan benefit packages and make determinationsDemonstrated experience with referral authorization processDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Managed Care plansExperience in a hospital or medical office settingExperience with registration and/or billings computer software programsExtensive and demonstrated knowledge of Government and Commercial Insurance PlansMust demonstrate general understanding of medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to ensure proper billing or financial procedures for patientsBilingual in English and SpanishExperience with computer software programs such as EPIC or other registration programs
