School/Center Overview The Office of the Provost provides direction on all facets of the University's academic mission, including education, faculty, research, online learning, global initiatives, admissions, athletics, student life, and arts and culture. Duties The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for implementation and management of a new platform to support online learning at the University of Pennsylvania. Liaise with online programs across a growing number of schools to provide Salesforce, including Sales Cloud, platform support, and assist with driving adoption throughout the organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide training and day-to-day end-user support and educate users to enhance and increase their knowledge of Salesforce.com
Configure and maintain solutions on the Salesforce platform using custom objects, triggers, formula fields, workflows, custom views, etc.
Maintain system security and usability via user profiles and role management
Work with outside vendor to support implementation and upgrades to the platform
Generate reports and configure dashboards to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable business information
Support system maintenance, maintain required documentation, and proactively identify improvement opportunities through systematic measurements and analysis
Manage the governance of the online student platform through communication with schools and central offices
Develop standards and procedures for collecting data across programs
Ensure data hygiene and integrity
Provide CRM support to online programs across Penn
A Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of programming or systems analysis, marketing data, business experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator preferred
Ability to build and maintain Salesforce custom objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, dashboards, and reports required
Must be self-motivated and a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and demands
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment to achieve agreed-upon objectives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
Experience with Salesforce Communities and Single-Sign On preferred
Familiarity with one or more Marketing Automation platforms preferred (Marketing Cloud, Pardot, HubSpot, etc.)
Knowledge of developing applications using Apex, Lightning, and VisualForce preferred
Knowledge of Salesforce data modeling is preferred
Familiarity with scripting preferred
Familiarity with SQL/SQOL preferred
