Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates clinical clerkship experiences for assigned region.
Maintains master schedule for 3rd & 4th year students
Coordinates the number of students assigned to a clerkship site for each academic year
Provides direction and guidance to 2nd year students in the selection and securing of core clerkships
Ensures accurate and timely establishment and maintenance of student records.
Processes required documents for core site clerkships
Coordinates the evaluation process for students, preceptors, and sites within assigned region
Ensures achievement of deadlines
Accurately and timely produces reports
Ensures students and clinical site constituents receive adequate and appropriate services.
Provides support and direction to students
Provides assistance, support, and helps enforce curriculum educational goals and learning objectives.
Helps ensures compliance with clinical curriculum
Participates in student orientation sessions prior to clerkship experiences
Helps provide quality educational experiences for 3rd & 4th year students
Represents the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization
Associate's degree. Equivalent experience may substitute for education.
Two years working in a college environment with direct contact with students. One year experience in medical school or allied health environment, preferred. One year administrative/clerical experience.
Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills essential. Must be a good listener.
Must have the ability to work diplomatically and effectively with all students, preceptors, DMEs, administrative DMEs, staff, and faculty.
Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined, and detail oriented.
Excellent organizational skills essential.
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task, while producing high quality outcomes and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to solve problems while maintaining a courteous, professional, and respectful demeanor required.
Must be diplomatic at all times, exercising good judgment and discretion as appropriate.
Excellent follow-through skills required.
Excellent telephone etiquette a must.
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
