Market Advocacy (MA) is a team in Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Securities Services (SES) that
Analyse and advocate on emerging risks, costs and market growth opportunities from GTB/SES product perspectives
Externally and internally, MA works with many stakeholder communities; within the bank, these include Sales, Product management, Compliance/AFC, Country Management, Global Markets, Government & Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Marketing, Media, Operations, I.T. and Risks.
At this time, we are seeking a senior Associate or Assistant Vice President (AVP) (Singapore location, local package) to replace a colleague who has taken a new role in Deutsche Bank. As the team is flat, this person will directly report to MA APAC regional head. Occasional travel should be expected.
For the successful candidate, this role can
Demand, deepen and utilize the successful candidate's product knowledge to understand market changes
Develop nuanced assessment capabilities thru detailed analysis of changes in alignment with product and business priorities
Hone abilities to handle complex external uncertainties, communication skills thru multi-stakeholder engagements and execution skills in multi-period advocacy plans
Expose the candidate to a broad base of stakeholders
Key responsibilities include
Analysis and assessment of external change implications on Securities Services product, services and/or operating model; learn and understand with each advocacy task
Represent GTB in internal committees and/or external industry forums at an appropriate time
Communicate qualified emerging non-financial risks to colleagues
Support internal communication, external thought leadership and client engagements; review and prepare talking points for colleagues/management on key topics
Produce APAC newsletter to distribute Asian changes to outside of APAC and write advocacy-related articles in support of business and product priorities
Manage the GTB industry association matrix of colleagues representing GTB
Contribute effort as needed by the team and business
5-7 years of experiences in post-trade securities services; training will be provided to exceptional successful candidate who is without direct experience and willing to learn at an accelerated pace
An understanding of digital/trade finance/cash management/compliance/legal & policy work can be advantageous
Demonstrated writing and interpersonal skills; as well as practiced appreciation of intercultural protocols.
Able to address unstructured changes and ad-hoc matters in organized ways; calm.
Attention to detail, able to handle time pressure and able to shoulder the responsibility to represent business' interests
