We are currently sourcing for an experienced individual with leadership capability to oversee our airport landside operations, teams engaged in customer services activities, parking, and curbside parking code enforcement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Controls and provides day-to-day leadership, support and accountability of customer focused, security and safety culture with teams, stakeholders and the public involving parking, traffic, vehicle inspection, commercial transportation systems and code compliance within the boundaries of the San Diego Airport; ensures consistency of work activities and projects with laws, codes and regulations;
Integrates strategies into work efforts and ensures deliverables are uniform with regulations, codes, laws and organizational strategies; and processes parking citations and appeals; resolves complaints, operational challenges, and conflicts; resolves issues and challenges and integrates operational practices;
Manages work activities across the organization and teams; maintains service level standards in alignment with organizational strategies and resource constraints; accountable for interaction and collaboration standards with stakeholders, consultants, and cross-functional teams; interprets and represents programs, projects and makes presentations to stakeholders, board and groups; shapes perspectives and gains commitments;
Coaches and fosters team’s success, competencies, accountability, development, diversity, inclusion, learning, customer focus, and productive work environment; recognizes, rewards achievements and completes corrective action; promotes safe work practices; assures that provisions of the Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) are consistently applied to practices;
Engages and maintains partnerships and shapes perspectives with industry partners including law enforcement and governmental agencies; interprets and communicates work standards and policies; shapes perceptions and facilitates change; delivers learning objectives and development materials; ensures safe practices;
Prepares and manages functional budgets; maintains accountability-based fiscal practices and related strategies; identifies and implements technological tools for efficiency; manages the bid process, contracts, and contractual obligations and services;
Facilitates process designing, redesigning and integration of operational practices; promotes technology solutions; generates and ensures adequate documentation of activities, metrics, project, reports and learning plans; keeps current with industry standard and sustainable practices; completes other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
BA degree in public or business administration, aviation management, transportation or related field;
Six years of traffic management, commercial mode management, transportation code compliance management, or parking program development and management experience; of which at least two years of which were in a management capacity;
Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Depending on experience, reward is up to $100,000.
