Team Overview The Global Client Strategy team is part of the Citi Markets Global Spread Products Investor Sales team. Partnering with stakeholders throughout the Markets organization, the team works to ensure that spread product businesses are globally equipped with effective strategies and tools to best address important client opportunities and maximize Citi's bottom line, and helps execute key initiatives across the client franchise.
Role Description The Global Client Strategy candidate for Global Spread Products Investor Sales will be key player in the development and implementation of the strategic direction of the Global Spread Products Investor Sales group.
The incumbent will coordinate with Regional Sales and Client Management across all regions in order to share best practices, influence decision-making and ensure efficiencies.
In coordination with the Heads of Sales and Client Strategy team, the selected candidate will be responsible for executing the optimal client coverage strategy with a focus on strategic and business presentations for both external and internal audiences.
Background Global Spread Products is the primary source of capital for corporations, governments, and non-profits, providing liquidity and innovative solutions globally across the credit, municipal, and securitized markets.
Job Background/Context The position objectives will be closely aligned with the Global Head of Spread Products Sales and Client Strategy mandate and position objectives:
Help implement the Spread Products Sales strategy for Investor clients
Ensure the business develops and maintains consistent methodologies to measure and track our business
Present the business to both internal and external clients in a clear and concise manner
Focus on developing and delivering critical strategic initiatives and decisions to senior management
Partner with other Markets products and regional sales heads and relationship managers to continue to drive collaboration of our business with the rest of the Markets franchise
Key Responsibilities Include
Help drive strategic initiatives to support identified priorities and overall goals for the Global Spread Products Investor Sales team
Create strategic and business presentation materials for both external and internal audiences
Assist with sales/client development (coordinate data with clients, assist with client presentations)
Work closely with Business teams to understand the right framework for tracking Sales, Client and Product performance
Coordinate tailored account summaries for clients and management/transaction reports
Ability to take on lead position for key workstreams and market surveys
Organize and coordinate all relevant on/off-sites
Bachelor degree, preferably in Computer Science or relevant technical discipline
Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify industry trends and provide strategic insight
Interest in tracking business development (collect research, analyze market trends)
Working in teams (coordinate with team members, deliver projects on a deadline)
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Advanced level of MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
