Citigroup's Continuity of Business (CoB) Program Operations organization within Global Operations Technology Risk & Control (OTRC) is seeking a Business Head of Continuity of Business and Crisis Management to lead a team supporting the Consumer Bank, reporting directly to the Global Head of Continuity of Business for Citi. The candidate will drive leadership and oversee CoB Planning and Recovery strategies across the Global Consumer Bank, and will ultimately be responsible to ensure invocation readiness for the respective functions. The candidate will join a core team that is part of the organization leading Citi's global Continuity of Business leadership team.
Oversee CoB Planning and Recovery Strategies across the Global Consumer Bank and ensuring recovery capabilities and testing processes ensure Invocation Readiness
Evolve Recovery Strategies for new technologies, such as Cloud, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and FinTech
Establish and manage CoB operational unit responsible for Business, Technology and 3rd Party Assessment and Testing across the Region in line with Citi requirements
Build strong interaction with Leaders driving IT and Service 2020 strategies to determine impact on Recovery strategies across Functions, Technologies, 3rd Parties and Service Center Network
Drive thought leadership and required changes to CoB Program, Recovery strategies and Crisis Management capabilities in line with Business/Technology (Robotics, Cloud) strategy and emerging threats such as Cyber in conjunction with Global/Regional Business and Technology leaders
Engage wider Risk & Control organizations and provide continuity thought leadership on emerging risks and themes such as Cyber and robotics
Represent the Function on the Continuity of Business Risk Operating Committee (COBROC).
Manage Citi's Office of Emergency Management capability for all Functions working with Security, Reality Services, Technology, Businesses and other stakeholders.
Ensure a strong understanding across the Function Region of the CoB Policy, identification of Internal, Regulatory, Reputational and Compliance gaps and provide appropriate consultation to the businesses about options for resolution.
Interact with regulators and auditors on on audits/exams across Functions
Ensure effective management of the CoB programs including metrics to provide early & timely detection, reporting, escalation and remediation of Risks and unresolved issues.
Collaborates with Senior Business Leaders to achieve CoB and Crisis Management goals and objectives with good understanding of the Service Center Network and how they impact the end to end Recovery Strategies, Testing and Crisis Management Planning.
Participates and communicates with professional external parties as needed.
Build Talent and teams by creating a culture meritocracy and transparency
Senior role overseeing all Global Consumer Bank governance/execution of Continuity of Business and Crisis Management globally with the ability to learn end to end processes and functions globally
Ability to manage staff and develop talent across regions
Build Operations and Technology knowledge across all Sectors and Functions
Ability to influence outside of direct reporting line across the region at all C levels
Ability to work with regulatory bodies across key jurisdictions and build industry connections to influence practices
Knowledge and Experience
At least 15 years of solid experience in Operations & Technology, Finance, Risk Management experience preferred. At least 10 years of people management experience
Knowledge of emerging threats, changes in processes/technology and how they impact recovery strategies
Ability to operate in diverse environments and cultures.
In depth knowledge of Operations, Technology & Processes, ideally across multiple Geographies. Skills
