The single stocks desk is part of EDG and focuses onvanilla volatility products. We transact on behalf of customers' pan-Europeansingle stock vanilla options. Our universe covers pan-European single stockoptions in EMEA and we offer this service to our clients globally. Opportunity J.P. Morgan is seeking to recruit a junior single stocks equityderivatives trader. The individual will be required to make prices for our widevariety of clients in pan-European single stock vanilla options. The individualwill be required to risk manage existing positions and also generate highquality trade ideas. The individual will be required to work on projects todevelop further our flow franchise. Significant knowledge of the options dynamic andtheory is essential, as we require the successful candidate to be able to tradeand manage a book very quickly. Previous trading experience on a equity derivative desk is a must
Skills & qualifications:
Knowledge in single stock options
Demonstrate very good knowledge and understanding of the equity markets and of the main equity indices
Be able to perform in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Have outstanding communication skills as you will interact extensively within direct colleagues as well as with the sales forces and support functions
Have a strong mathematical background for pricing derivatives products
Extensive experience in a relevant Financial services field (ideally IB) with immediately transferable skills
In-depth knowledge of the above mentioned products
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
