The Director Facility Services has responsibility for all aspects of physical plant at Lakewood Regional Medical Center and the accompanying medical office buildings and clinics. The Director of Facility Services organizes and directs a comprehensive program to ensure the integrity of the physical plant and the safety of their occupants. The Director must possess the skills and abilities to manage multiple locations simultaneously. Responsibilities include: Engineering, Biomedical Services, Grounds, Security, construction, Safety and Hazardous Material/Waste Management.

14.Establishes and monitors preventative maintenance programs.Analyzes cost and work schedules, sets priorities, expedites operations and repairs.
15.Regularly inspects the physical plant and takes appropriate follow-up action.
16.Serves as a liaison with contractors, architects and other suppliers.
17.Manage construction projects and advises on modifications to the physical plant.
18.Accompanies State and local authorities inspecting the physical plant.
19.Directs and monitors the environmental services program to maintain the hospital in an attractive, clean orderly condition.
20.Establishes, implements, monitors and documents evidence of an on-going and comprehensive hazardous material program.
21.Establishes, implements, monitors and documents evidence of an on-going and comprehensive safety program.
22.Serves as Safety Officer, meeting the required qualifications as specified by JCAHO, if designated by the hospital.
23.Performs any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned.
Training and Experience:
1.Five years progressive experience in supervision and maintenance, installation, construction, maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings required.
1.High school diploma or equivalent, BS degree desirable.
