A Bachelor's degree in adult learning, instructional design, or related area or equivalent experience. A Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of instructional design experience.
Must have strong communication and negotiation skills and be willing to take direction from SMEs while at the same time providing feedback to SMEs regarding good learning design.
Proven track record of working in higher education or company training, with creative problem solving abilities and facilitation experience. Online training and/or teaching experience a plus.
Proficient in using learning management system, design and media software, and other related technologies to develop interactive learning experiences. Knowledge of mobile learning experience a plus.

Primary Duties/Essential Functions
Works with Subject Matter Experts to develop new and upgrade existing online training modules and programs that meet industry instructional design and compliance standards (e.g., ADA, ADDIE, SAM, Kemp's, etc.).
Performs various aspects of instructional design, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional materials.
Oversees the certification and support of faculty teaching blended, online, and distance learning courses.
Provides technical support for training participants with issues related to multimedia, audio, video, and mobile technology.
Researches and integrates instructional design, digital media, and mobile learning research and theory for the enhancement of online learning environments.
Assist with facilitating online and face-to-face training sessions.

Proficiency in developing online learning experiences using LMS (particularly Instructure Canvas) and designer software (particularly Storyline and/or Adobe Captivate).
Proficiency in office collab suites (particularly Google Apps Education and Microsoft Office)
Proficiency in graphic and media design software suites (particularly Adobe Creative Suite).
Proficiency in designing for mobile technologies (iOS and Android apps) a plus.
Ability to develop and maintain quality assurance procedures.
Proficiency in researching to stay current on government and university policies that affect online course design and programs.
Website design and web maintenance skills.
Data analysis and reporting skills.
Interest in continuous improvement and dedication to updating skills.
