Business Overview: Citi's Municipal Debt Capital Markets ('DCM') business works with US municipal issuers and investors globally to raise capital for infrastructure projects, and other key financing priorities. Citi has financed more of America's municipal infrastructure than any other bank, channeling tens of billions of dollars a year into critical projects like New York's LaGuardia Airport, San Francisco's new seismically-resilient Bay Bridge, and Detroit's city-wide project to literally turn the lights back on with 65,000 new LED streetlights (80% of the city's total). The Municipal DCM team, part of the firm's broader Global Spread Products business, leverages the Municipal Division's #1-ranked Public Finance banking team (18 of the past 25 years), #1-ranked Sales & Trading group and our peerless global municipal investor franchise. We are currently seeking to add an Analyst-level banker within the Municipal DCM Group, working across all aspects of our franchise, in both an issuer and investor-facing capacity. Job Responsibilities: - Prepare client presentations to secure underwriting mandates, provide market updates, share insights on investor activity, and to execute the distribution/marketing of live transactions - Closely monitor conditions in the municipal market as well as broader global markets, sharing updates with the firm's clients on a regular basis. - Develop models and perform data analysis to gain insights from market activity. Summarize the findings to share with issuer clients and their financial advisors. - Engage with municipal portfolio managers, credit analysts, and their Citi sales coverage to help market transactions, and to build a working knowledge of their investment goals and activities
