The Middle Office supports Equity and Debt Capital Markets activities throughout Asia Pacific.
The Equity and Debt Capital Markets Middle Office deal exposure includes:
Initial public offerings (IPO's)
Follow-on common stock issues
Corporate derivative structures
Debt Capital Markets (DCM) primary offerings
(i) Deal Structure
Key partnership with Front Office to drive and deliver all deal-related logistics (legal documentation, market specific procedure, exchange requirements, etc.)
Critical point of contact on deal structure queries and market specific requirements to Front Office
Conduct Due Diligence / New Business Initiative reviews on new markets and product structures, and ensure all Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Credit and Market Risk, Finance and P&L, Control and Operational issues are properly addressed and signed off for an ECDM transaction.
Scope/Coverage is Asia-Pacific, including Japan, with key exposure to deals across both equity/equity-linked and derivative products
(ii) Trade Bookings
Assist Syndicate desk in monitoring trade bookings and pot book allocations/positions in ECDM/DCM trading book
Work closely with external counterparts, global ECDM middle office teams, and regional operations teams to ensure the necessary infrastructure setup for trading and booking deals
Liaise with Front Office, Business Managers, CFO, ECM and Equities Senior Management and various counterparts to ensure a smooth execution of the transaction and accurate fee capture
Integral assistance in settlement and funding activities with both internal parties and external counterparts
Resolve Corporate Client facing ad hoc queries, logistics and requirements
(iii) PnL Activities
Analyse and consolidate all deal-related fees and expenses
Coordinate with various Finance and Controller teams across the firm to track and report Asia revenue and expenses
Monthly monitoring of fees receivable or fees payable to/from Clients and Syndicate banks on joint book-run deals
Syndicate fee payments
MiddleOffice / Trade Support experience, preferably supporting Syndication
