The digital content manager is responsible for day-to-day content development and production for digital channels including public-facing websites, SEM landing pages and email marketing. In collaboration with others, this team member develops and leads execution of a digital content strategy that supports clinical growth targets and other business objectives.
Position requires excellent communication skills; an orientation to detail and process; ability to work and maintain composure under tight deadlines; experience managing the work of others; and expertise in web content development, content management systems and SEO, as well as knowledge about usability/user experience principles and best practices.
This position also demands a sense of resiliency and a passion for the work, as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multi-functional teams.
Assure timely and consistent review, update and optimization of websites and landing pages in alignment with institutional priorities and objectives
Assess and triage incoming content requests and assure timely, accurate and coordinated completion of this work
Manage editorial timelines and workflow
Write, edit, proofread and optimize content to meet user and business goals
Assign and oversee work of internal and external writers
Review and edit content prior to publication
Gather information through research and interviews
Build web pages using content management systems
Assure editorial standards are met, including alignment with structured content model(s), brand style, voice/tone, readability and literacy levels for target audiences
Develop and maintain content governance
Consult with marketing colleagues regarding website implications of new and ongoing marketing plans and campaigns
Work with stakeholders, inside and outside the marketing department, to gather business requirements, assure those needs are met and communicate progress/status clearly
Make budgetary recommendations and manage a budget
Manage relationships with freelancer content producers
Participation in Agile workflow, including stand-ups and backlog grooming and planning.

Required skills and experience:
Bachelorâs in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or related field.
Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience in editorial roles
Experience in editing and supervising the work of others
Demonstrated ability to translate complex subject matter for lay audiences; healthcare experience strongly preferred
Experience in use of content management systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, SiteCore, other)
Familiarity with SEO content practices and web analytics
