Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Quality Improvement Nurse Consultant to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Quality Improvement Nurse Consultant to be responsible for educational support in the development of clinical initiatives to address care gaps in the ambulatory settings across Providence St. Joseph Health. The position will leverage enterprise wide partnerships to develop clinical resources, tools, and education to support patient and primary care team in achieving system goals and initiatives. The Nurse Consultant will closely collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and monitor impact of interventions provided.
The Quality Improvement Nurse Consultant is expected to perform all duties in a manner that promotes collaboration and reflects the Providence St. Joseph Health mission, philosophy, and core values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence, and stewardship.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead the development of quality improvement activities on an ongoing basis to promote efforts to support the identification and correction of quality of care issues.
Create and disseminate educational tools for clinical quality improvement. Examples of such education: pathway guidance, patient and provider facing education.
Create deliverables, providing inservices and training.
Lead the development of clinical workflows: for clinic efficiency, optimization, and reliable processes.
Actively support and incorporate the Providence St Joseph Health mission into daily activities.
Demonstrate ability to provide leadership direction; communicate a clear vision; and motivate, influence and coach a diverse staff to set goals and consistently achieve results.
Demonstrate ability to make sound decisions that balances system priorities, clinical impact, safety, operational and financial implications.
Effectively convey complex clinical and technical information both verbally and in writing and to produce high quality summaries, reports, and documentation.
Work within the organization effectively and efficiently to accomplish goals and objectives and uses positive and effective interactions with staff, stakeholders, supervisors, and other care team members to maximize productivity and positive employee relations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
3 years of RN experience in ambulatory setting.
2 years of experience in staff development or academic teaching.
2 years of experience working with patients with chronic diseases.
RN licensure upon hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's degree in Nursing or Public Health.
Advanced Clinical Practice Certification (BCPS, CDE, BC-ADM, CLS, etc.).
