The candidate will be a part of a diverse CRM team; this team is working to make CRM initiatives successful at MSU and utimately advance MSU's mission. The CRM Architect will be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our Salesforce platform. The CRM Architect will lead the ongoing development of our salesforce.com deployment. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the Force.com platform.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Serve as primary system architect for the Salesforce.com environment and recently launched Salesforce user group. -Resolve integration and interfacing issues between systems (API) or other plug-ins. -Complete regular internal system audits and prepares for upgrades. -Report on quarterly feature releases. -Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests. -Participate in the development of conceptual and logical architectures. -Create solution documentation and keep up to date with changes in production. -Facilitate governance conversations as a part of the Salesforce Advisory Group. -Assist in training of new employees and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization -Provide advice on best practices and approaches to technology teams and internal business clients. - Perform project related tasks as assigned
MSU Information Technology provides the primary leadership for strategic, financial, and policy initiatives affecting information technology (IT) across MSU. MSU IT offers technology resources that support MSU’s mission of providing education, conducting research, and advancing engagement.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to a four-year college degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related IT field; and five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience on Salesforce platform, including Certified Salesforce Administrator and Developer; significant experience with Lightning Development Framework, components, etc.; experience developing applications in Apex, and Java or .Net; Appexchange products and managed packages within Salesforce; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. Salesforce Certified Administrator (or similar). Experience implementing CRM software solutions in a large and complex university environment. Experience working with and deploying Saleforce.com AppExchange products such as Conga, GeoPointe, FormAssembly, TargetX, HEDA, and Pardot, a plus; a firm understanding of web application design and analysis, design patterns, and object-oriented design; a strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality.
