Mission Description of the Business Line or Department
The Regulatory, Oversight and Cyber Security ("ROCS") department is a 1 st Line of Defence team responsible for monitoring operational risk topics linked with Technology, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, CORI, GLFI, and the COOs. It also monitors outsourced service providers and the overarching framework.
ROCS ensures a comprehensive and consistent application of SG's Operational Risk Framework, to include but not limited to: Permanent Supervision control framework; Risk and Control Self-Assessment process; process reviews; Risk event identification and management; Business Continuity Management; regulatory and risk committee reporting; Internal Capital Adequacy Process.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
Within ROCS, the ROCS OSM OPF (oversight security managers covering Operations and Finance) team provides 1st Line of Defence expert knowledge and support in the management, oversight, and first level challenge of operational risk across GBIS Operations Functions. Its role is to ensure that each department operates within the confines of Group level directives on Operational Risk Management; Internal Control; and, Compliance.
Summary of Responsibilities
Assist business partners in the process of identifying, assessing, recording, and remediating operational risk.
Provide oversight and first level challenge of all operational risk related topics, including but not limited to: RCSA process; incident assessment; Internal Capital Adequacy Process (ICAAP - for SGIL Legal Entity only); KRI reporting; process reviews and, Action Plan completion, including Audit Recommendation progress tracking.
Production and presentation of operational risk governance packs to key senior stakeholders.
Implementation and maintenance of the first level control framework. Set-up and maintenance of the overarching second level Permanent Supervision Control framework.
Recording of operational incidents within the Group's internal incident management platform

Working under the supervision of the reporting manager, autonomy to be defined and refined under that supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills; confident communicating at all levels with key decision makers in the relevant business lines and elsewhere within the investment bank
Strong written documentation abilities
Coordination skills (across and between the teams in OPER, Finance and ROCS)
Basic understanding of Investment Banking market activities
Compliant with confidentiality requirements
