Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst (EPIC HB).
In this role, the successful candidate oversees the daily analysis, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hospital billing/patient accounting management systems (e.g. Epic, ePremis, HTS, 3M, HealthLogic, etc) that support Revenue Cycle Operations for NYULMC.
Displays a willingness to evolve their management role in the organization and accept new responsibilities as needed. Available to assist RCO/RCS during off hours when immediate action is required to support critical functions.
Communicates respectfully and effectively with senior leadership, management, and staff. Adheres to the RCS chain of command and involves management in work-related activities to ensure they are informed of current or potential issues.
Complies with RCS/departmental rules and expectations regarding attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, dress code and overall work etiquette.
Possesses critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently. Takes proactive measures to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Reinforces management level standing by demonstrating leadership qualities in all aspects of work - including the mentoring of other analysts and the ability to lead group tasks during project implementations.
Demonstrates knowledge of NYULMC service standards, New York State Hospital regulations and Federal HIPAA guidelines and is compliant throughout the performance of duties.
Participates in cross-training initiatives within Revenue Cycle Systems (RCS) and user-training sessions with other departments.
Provides resolutions for RCO system issues and communicates status updates and corrective measures with end-users.
In charge of various aspects of project implementations and quality assurance processes, including research and analysis of proposed build and the reporting/tracking of individual and group tasks.
Functions as a liaison between Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO), Information Technology (IT), and 3rd Party System Vendors for the purposes of facilitating and coordinating the implementation of new or updated systems/processes for Revenue Cycle Operations.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree. 2+ years of experience in hospital revenue cycle operations or other healthcare technology related field. High level of analytical/communication skills, and computer proficiency field.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree. 5+ years in hospital revenue cycle operations or other healthcare technology related field. Epic Certified. HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Advanced level of analytical/communication skills, and computer proficiency.
