Budget Title: Staff Associate (SL-4)
Salary: $40,000 (50% of full-time)
The chief responsibility of the campus Regional Director is to develop and implement the New York State Master Teacher Program (NYSMTP) - Southern Tier at Binghamton University. The list below consists of major duties related to successful recruitment and implementation. Duties include:
Coordinate local recruitment efforts and finalist interview day
Coordinate and facilitate professional development opportunities for Master Teachers
Develop and work with an advisory committee to discuss best practices for facilitating Master Teacher programming
Communicate regularly with all teachers enrolled in the NYSMTP at SUNY host campus
Manage the budget for the NYSMTP
Represent SUNY host campus/NYSMTP at state-wide events and conferences related to the NYSMTP
Establish and maintain relationships with Regional Directors on other SUNY campuses hosting a NYS Master Teacher cohort
Maintain documentation and archival records of forms for teacher contractual requirements
STEM education, background and experience
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Connection to K-12 schools in Southern Tier Master Teacher region
Membership to relevant STEM education professional organization(s)
